Founder and managing director
Simon’s passion for computers and technology started young, building his first computer and programming aged 10. His career includes leading the development of internet technology at Williams Lea, before becoming the youngest technical director of Reading Room. In 2002, he left to set up Digital Craftsmen. The name of the company was inspired by Peter McBreen’s book ‘Software Craftsmen’ who introduced the concept of craftsmen in the digital sector creating bespoke technology solutions for clients. The values of craftsmen ship laid the foundations for the business which are Digital Craftsmen always sign their work, and true Craftsmen are always in the pursuit of Excellence. At the weekend, Simon has been seen doing long distance cycling however more likely these days, he’ll be working on the many DIY jobs that go hand in hand with renovating a 200 year old home.
Paul has 20 years of experience in infrastructure and systems design, build and rollout for internal and cloud based applications. He has led the delivery of multiple projects for both public and private sector clients. Business process led design is key to the projects he delivers, focusing on risk management, security and availability across the entire application stack.
Iain’s a portfolio accountant with 20 years’ experience operating at board level for a number of companies seeking managed growth. On a summer’s day Iain used to be found enjoying the sound of leather on willow. His dreams of opening for Surrey are now over since the arrival of his lovely twins, Finn and Ivy, born in Feb 2018.
The company sales director with a proven track record of over 20 years successfully selling IT business solutions into the Technology sector. He was invited to join the Digital Craftsmen team who were impressed by his larger than life personality, and ability of getting things done. He leads the sales and marketing teams, and is the first point of call for all sales activities. Nick manages client and partner relationships, and is always on the look out for building trusted relationships across different industry sectors. At the weekend, you’ll find him renovating his beloved airstream, and when the sun is out riding his Harley Davison.
Systems Thinker, Team Leader and Linux Systems Administrator with 22 years of experience in the IT industry spanning a wide range of technologies & industries. Bens’ role is to constantly keep up to date with the evolving landscape of IT systems and method; One of his roles within Digital Craftsmen is anticipating and planning for new systems and technological developments. Married with children (3) he recently completed a First Class degree at the Open University. Outside of work Ben is a keen cyclist (XC and DH) and has far too many DIY projects.
Associate Service Delivery Manager
Mark is responsible for ownership of the relationship held with our customers and to serve as an interface between the customer and the support team, ensuring that our customer's technical, administration, and specialist support needs are met. Having previously gained a BTEC Diploma in Business Improvement Techniques and LEAN Organisation and recently completing the ISO27001 ISMS Foundation & Lead Implementer courses, he has plenty of experience in managing processes and seeing projects through to completion whilst being mindful of client’s needs. In his spare time, he can be found watching sport, particular Rugby, and also tinkering with electronics. At home the kitchen is his domain and he enjoys creative cooking, he also has 25 years’ service to DIY, so likes to put his hand to most things.

Expertise in ITIL processes, Project Management, Service Portfolio Management, Communications. Great experience in working in multi-vendor environments and building relationships. I also have experience in running my own business – Bridging the gap between technical and business. Hobbies/Interests: Art, Architecture, Design & Literature. I travel often with my Wife; I adore a road trip (it’s what we do most often)
Windows Infrastructure Engineer
A seasoned IT professional with over 15 years knowledge and experience of cross-platform IS infrastructures and emerging technologies across various global / multinational / MSP organisations. Mark works on large projects, responsible for the Design, Delivery, Implementation and Detailed Documentation of various mainly Microsoft based projects, across our Private or Azure Cloud. This predominantly involves the Microsoft stack including Windows OS, AD, Office365, Azure AD, ADFS, Intune MDM and Patching. After a tough week at work, Mark likes to participate in the local Clay Pigeon shooting club to de-stress. He is a keen follower of Tottenham Hotspur. The rest of his time is made up keeping the children entertained!
